Now - Feb. 8, 2009 - Southwestern Exposition and Stock Show & Rodeo (Fort Worth, TX)
112th Annual Southwestern Exposition and Livestock Show & Rodeo was established in 1896. This popular event attracts nearly one million people from around the world to the Will Rogers Memorial Center for the nation's oldest livestock show and daily performances of the world's original indoor rodeo. For affordability and good family fun the Fort Worth Stock Show & Rodeo can’t be beat. A wide array of activities and events will entertain Stock Show guests. The carnival midway thrills the young and not so young while fashions, home furnishings as well as farm and ranch equipment will be offered by more than 200 exhibitors. Food for every taste – including a new destination restaurant called Diego’s Cantina – will be found over the entire Will Rogers Complex. The Dallas Boat Show Association will bring its 56th annual Winter Boat Show to Dallas Market Hall at 2100 N. Stemmons Freeway (Interstate 35E) Friday, January 30, 2009 through Sunday, February 8, 2009. Rows upon rows of watercraft will be will be available for purchase during this 10-day water world extravaganza. Boating enthusiasts can ponder over everything for sporty lakeside fun to a fishing boat or a luxury yacht liner to relaxing family entertainment in a new houseboat or pontoon boat. Now - May 10, 2009 - Living in Space, an interactive exhibition (Fort Worth, TX)
Living in Space, an interactive exhibition inspired by the International Space Station (ISS) and created in collaboration with NASA, opens at the Fort Worth Museum of Science and History (FWMSH) Saturday, Jan. 17, 2009 and runs through Sunday, May 10. Because of Museum construction, the exhibition is on view in the lower-level galleries of the National Cowgirl Museum and Hall of Fame (1720 Gendy Street).  Living in Space allows visitors to become ISS crewmembers for a day as they engage in a multitude of astronaut activities. Feb. 2 - 4, 2009 - Divine Performing Arts (Richardson, TX)
The New York based Divine Performing Arts, with an innovative full orchestra, returns to the Dallas - Ft. Worth area for another spectacular, original show of Chinese dance and music. Its masterful choreography and graceful routines range from grand classical processions to ethnic and folk dances, with gorgeously costumed dancers moving in stunning synchronized patterns. The Metroplex Challenge is a gymnasts invitational presented on Saturday and Sunday, January 26 and 27 at the Dallas Convention Center in downtown Dallas. Feb. 18 - 22, 2009 - Dallas Auto Show (Dallas, TX)
One of the most anticipated annual events in the Metroplex, the Dallas Auto Show is the ideal opportunity for consumers to compare styling and pricing of every major line make under one roof in just a few hours. The Dallas Auto Show was conceived in 1982, and now boasts more than 550,000 square feet of new cars, trucks and SUVs at the Dallas Convention Center and an attendance of close to 400,000 auto enthusiasts. ConDFW, an annual literary speculative fiction (scifi/fantasy/horror/etc) convention, will be at the Crowne Plaza Suites Dallas-Park Central 7800 Alpha Rd Dallas, TX 75240 Friday through Sunday February 20 - 22, 2009. Feb. 20, 2009 – Robin Williams – (Grand Prairie, TX)

Feb. 20-22, 2009 - AmeriStamp Expo/Texpex 2009 (Arlington, TX)
Admission is FREE at AmeriStamp Expo/Texpex 2009, winter show of the American Philatelic Society, at the Arlington Convention Center February 20-22. Family fun for age eight or 80, learn the ins and outs of the world’s greatest hobby. Feb. 21, 2009 Popeyes Mystiqal Run and Parade 2009 (Dallas, TX)

Lake Dallas Main Street is transformed into Denton County’s only Mardi Gras Celebration on Fat Tuesday. Feb. 26 – 28, 2009 – Texas World Dirt Truck Championships (Fort Worth, TX)
Texas Motor Speedway plays host to one of the premiere dirt track events in the country during the Texas World Dirt Track Championship February 26 – 28 at the Texas Motor Speedway Dirt Track. Top dirt track drivers from across the country will compete in the three-day event. Racing gets under way Thursday, February 26 as Limited Modifieds, Modifieds and O’Reilly SUPR Late Models hit the track for practice. Qualifying for the Limited Modifieds and Modifieds begins on Friday, February 27 as drivers from each class compete for a spot in Saturday’s main event. Champions are crowned Saturday, February 28 when limited modified and modified drivers compete in the main event for the chance to visit Victory Lane. Feb. 28, 2009 - Cowtown Marathon (Fort Worth, TX)
