Feb. 29 - Mar. 2, 2008 - 26th Annual North Texas Irish Festival (Dallas, TX)
The 26th annual NTIF features many of the top Irish musicians and dancers in the world and a number of cultural presentations on eight stages at Fair Park. Again, in 2008 the NTIF will open its Festival on Friday night, February 29, at 6 PM with full festival activities, including performances by national and regional musicians. The festivities will continue throughout the weekend, including Saturday, March 1 through Sunday, March 2, and feature some of the very finest in Irish and other Celtic entertainment including world famous bands, award-winning dancers, enchanting storytellers at the popular Urchin Street area and educational workshops. Mar. 1, 2008 - Rachmaninov’s Vespers Concert (Richardson, TX)
The 100-voice strong Plano Civic Chorus, conducted by Ralph Frederick Stannard, will sing Sergei Rachmaninov’s Vespers featuring tenor soloist Peter Tiggelaar. The Vespers are part of the Russian Orthodox Church’s All-night Vigil, an aggregation of three canonical hours including the Matins and the First Hour. Mar. 2, 2008 -  “Young Virtuoso” Concert (Dallas, TX)
The Greater Dallas Youth Orchestra continues its 2007-2008 season with “Young Virtuoso” on Sunday, March 2, 2008 at 7:30 p.m. at the Meyerson Symphony Center under the direction of GDYO Music Director and Conductor Richard Giangiulio. The program features the 2008 GDYO Concerto Competition winner Susie Choi, cello. Performance selections also include Moncayo’s Huapango, Shulman’s Selections for String Orchestra, 4th movement of Elgar’s Cello Concerto in e minor and Rimsky-Korsakov’s Scheherazade. Mar. 8, 2008 - Imagination Celebration 20th Anniversary Parade & Celebration (Fort Worth, TX)

Mar. 14 - 16, 2008 - Dallas Quilt Celebration 2008 (Dallas, TX)
This year, our show theme is “Timeless Traditions.” Our judging team is Scott Murkin, Cynthia England and Bobbie Aug. They will be awarding more than $13,000.00 in prize money to quilts entered in the show. In addition to their judging duties, the three judges will all be presenting lectures and providing quilt appraisals. Be sure to purchase your lecture tickets and make those appraisal reservations early to ensure that you have a spot reserved just for you! Continuing at the show will be our ever-popular vendor mall with approximately 140 vendors. Many of them will be offering free demonstrations in a special area near the front entrance. The quilts in the judged show and vendor spaces will be set up in the Main Hall. We will take advantage of the North Hall for quilt appraisals, Special Exhibits and our men’s sports lounge area. Greenville Avenue Area Business Association (GAABA) presents The 28th Annual Greenville Ave. St Patrick's Day Parade. Mar. 23, 2008 - Easter in The Park - Pooch Parade (Dallas, TX)
Round up the family, kids, blankets and bonnets for an entertaining afternoon of music and picnic lunches! Celebrating its 23rd anniversary, the Turtle Creek Association presents Easter in the Park featuring the hilarious Pooch Parade and Costume Contest at 1 p.m., followed by a live concert of light classics and pop favorites by the Dallas Symphony Orchestra at 3 p.m. The event kicks off at 11 a.m. with the Pooch Parade registration and continues till 5 p.m. The event is free and open to the public. Mar. 29, 2008 - Dallas-Area NexBank MS Walk (Addison, TX)
The 2008 NexBank Walk MS will be held in the Dallas Area on Saturday, March 29, 2008 in beautiful Addison Circle Park and the urban town center surrounding the park. Day of Event registration begins at 7 a.m. with the 5K Run for Hope taking the mark at 8 a.m. and the walk stepping out at 8:30 a.m. Rest stops along your choice of a 1 mile or 5K route will feature live entertainment by local artists in addition to hydration and traditional refreshments.
