What is a Search Engine?
A search engine is nothing more than a online database of website
information that allows Internet users to search for information or links to
websites by "Keywords". Keywords are words that people on
the Internet are likely to use when looking for information on a specific
topic. One of the biggest and more popular is Google.
What is a Directory?
A directory is a search tool much like a search engine but with a few
major differences. Most directories tend to employ human editors which
review a web site in person instead of using a program or robot. Town-Mall
is a directory. Once a webmaster submits an entry form to be in our
directory, we review the web site and consider it for entry in to our
directory in whatever category we feel is most relevant to the web site
itself.
I submitted my website, but it's not listed,
why?
Search Engine listings are not guaranteed to everyone who builds a website
and then asks to be entered in to a Search Engine. Search engines are
for-profit businesses and have the right to refuse to list any site for
virtually any reason. With that said, most do not refuse you if you
are a legitimate business. If you did not get listed the first time, it
could be because there was a problem with search engine's web site, or, when
their robot came to your web site to index it, your web site was not
available for some reason. All it takes is a bad hosting company to
cost you money in lost sales. If a hosting company's server continuously
go off line, this could be one problem. The other most likely problem

How long does it take to get listed with a search
engine?
In most cases, it takes about 4 to 8 weeks before you will see the
results. However, once you're listed, most search engine robots will
revisit your web site at least once a month.
Is there a simply solutions to getting listed in the
top rankings of a Search Engine?
Actually the answer is no. To gain a top position requires the
